Best Lobster in Maine

Part of any Maine vacation is eating seafood - especially lobster - outdoors!
There are a lot of places to get lobster in Maine, but there may only be one where you can eat lobster on the lobsterman's pier, served by the lobsterman's wife, looking at one of the most beautiful water views you'll find at any restaurant in Maine.
It's Morse's Lobster in Harpswell, Maine. Not only is the food fantastic - they also have other seafood, burgers, and sandwiches -- but the view is absolutely stunning. There's no place I'd rather eat lunch on a summer day than at Morse's.
It's a very simple, no-frills kind of place, but also very thoughtfully done with nice people. You feel like you've stopped by to eat lunch at your friend's place -- and your friend happens to be a lobsterman.
They don't advertise and aren't on most tourists maps. They are on a little peninsula away from the main road. Most of the people who go there are locals or long-time summer visitors who happened upon this local secret eating-place.
To get to Morse's Lobster, take Route 123 South, left onto Allen Point Rd., and then left onto Morse Shore Rd. You'll see the pier at the end of the road.
