If you are in Antigua, stop at one of the many fruit stands to buy a locally grown Antigua Black Pineapple. These small gems are the sweetest fruit imaginable. Expect to pay around 8-12 EC for one.
If you arrive during mango season, enjoy the delectable fruits. Peel the fruit with your teeth the local way, and savor the juices. You will pick the fibers from your teeth most of the afternoon.
If a lady is grilling corn, buy an ear to nibble as you drive.
A must stop is at Elaine's Rainforest Culture Center to buy some freshly made local jam. The pineapple is a favorite.
Stop at Turner's Beach for a swim and lovely luncheon of conch fritters or lobster salad. A Lime Squash is a refreshing beverage. On a clear day, enjoy views of Montserrat. This is the perfect place to end the day swimming and sunning, off the beaten path.

Part of any Maine vacation is eating seafood - especially lobster - outdoors!
There are a lot of places to get lobster in Maine, but there may only be one where you can eat lobster on the lobsterman's pier, served by the lobsterman's wife, looking at one of the most beautiful water views you'll find at any restaurant in Maine.
It's Morse's Lobster in Harpswell, Maine. Not only is the food fantastic - they also have other seafood, burgers, and sandwiches -- but the view is absolutely stunning. There's no place I'd rather eat lunch on a summer day than at Morse's.
It's a very simple, no-frills kind of place, but also very thoughtfully done with nice people. You feel like you've stopped by to eat lunch at your friend's place -- and your friend happens to be a lobsterman.
They don't advertise and aren't on most tourists maps. They are on a little peninsula away from the main road. Most of the people who go there are locals or long-time summer visitors who happened upon this local secret eating-place.
To get to Morse's Lobster, take Route 123 South, left onto Allen Point Rd., and then left onto Morse Shore Rd. You'll see the pier at the end of the road.

Coconut Grove, Miami Florida. "The Biggest Slice" was taken at New York Roma Pizza & Pasta, located on the junction of McFarlane Road and Grande Avenue in Coconut Grove, Miami FL. They have pizza slices as large as our heads! Attempting to eat this large dish, I tried folding it, rolling it and eventually finding the extra space needed to consume this delicious monstrosity. Seating is primarily outside. You get to enjoy the traffic scene and passersby.
Sebago, Maine.
I visited Sebago for the first time last September. My girlfriend Peggy met her beau of 4 years there. His pick up line as she was wandering the streets of Sebago Maine, was, "Hey, do you know where the Sebago Brewery is?"
"No!" she replied.
Then he said, "I do, so come with me!"
She went....... and hasn't come back yet!
Sebago Maine is located on Sebago Lake. The web site for the brewery is www.sebagobrewing.com. I had a blast in this little town. Kind of a mix of old New England and modern.

The Cafe Charlotte is a "find" for folks traveling to Yosemite. Located in the center of town, the Charlotte is local to many vacation rentals, especially those in Pine Mountain Lake. It is Groveland’s favorite restaurant.
