"This home is very attractive and we felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. The decor is fabulous and furnishings are first rate! The photos don't really do the house justice.

We had a very relaxing 4 days at Castro Valley and the owners were a wealth of information.

We were so very impressed with the location. Walking distance to the market and a fantastic pizza place. It gave us a chance to experience the true way of life of citizens of the San Francisco Bay area.

Trips into San Francisco were effortless and quite entertaining. The surrounding area is filled with wonderful destinations for day trips, the owners have some great information about the area included in their welcome package. We would definitely stay there again, without hesitation!"

We will return with our family of 5 for future visits." Review Submitted by Mark Worthen: This was our second visit to the Hillside Retreat Chalet. Our first visit to the Chalet in Tahoe Donner was during the summer of  2005, and it was a wonderful 10 day reprieve from the city heat and traffic. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed long hours in the pools, and the Marina was grand. Both my wife and I loved frequenting the nearby gym. Our 10 year old learned to sail, while our 15 year old jet skied. This time, our trip was in January. Our adult get away was equally fabulous. After returning from a day on the slopes (also nearby) the house was warm cozy & fully stocked. After 3 nights our our own, we invited another couple to join us for the remainder of our 5 night holiday. The four of us enjoyed dining in the quaint town of Truckee- the ladies took long walks while the guys played poker. Simply put... a time away anyone would enjoy. The Hillside Retreat Chalet is a short drive from Bay Area with easy access to many amenities & a superb property. Just a foot note: as a frequent renter of fine homes, this property gained my loyalty as a return guest because the rental fees are all inclusive, leaving no hidden costs!

This is a great family home since it has everything you need at your fingertips!  The beach is right outside, and the house is stocked with boogie boards, snorkel masks, and toys to play in the sand.

You can either hang out in the water, or sit on the lawn in front of the house.  Watch the waves, or the sunrise and  sunset.
  
The home is fully furnished with linens, bath towels, beach towels, pots and pans, BBQ, and cable TV.
  
All you need to bring – yourself, your kids, and your personal items!

Loved it here! Great Place! Very peaceful and quiet! and everything we needed. Loved the sound of the waves at night. The girls loved the A/C after sunburns.  It was very nice and clean; compliments to the person who cleaned. Loved the boogie boards and beach chairs (we couldn't have packed them!).

What a fabulous place - we loved it and will miss Paradize!
It was nice to be on the water and see Diamond Head and such a lovely yard.

Ocean City has it all; beautiful beaches, great fishing, fine restaurants, malls, movie theaters, wild horses, dwarf deer, camping, and some of the best social events I've ever been to.

My favorite accommodations are centrally located, 2 blocks from the ocean and 2 blocks from the bay. The apartment has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a kitchen, dining area and living room with a fireplace. This is nice since I prefer off-season and it does at times get chilly.

The apartment was less than 1 year old when I first rented it, and the owners are very nice and friendly. I was surprised that when you go off season, you can often get "Special Deals" from the owners, picking up extra days or lower prices when occupancy rates are low. Some of them make you feel just like family.

My first stay here was at Best Western. One room with a mini fridge! Never again. Now we can sleep, while others watch TV, dine out, or enjoy fresh Maryland produce we cook up ourselves.

If you go, definitely visit Smoker's Pit for the best barbeque anywhere! House of Welsh on Route 1 offers some excellent food - from Maryland crab to filet mignon - all discounted April - June. The Green Turtle comes highly rated, and there is Phillips if you want top notch dining. Take that significant other to Tragar's Island for an unforgettable sunset dinner. Afterward, hit one of the numerous clubs on the strip, or maybe belt out a few tunes of your own at the Sand Dollar bar featuring Karaoke.

Bottom line, if you don't have fun, you didn't try!
